There’s some people who are born natural to do something, some never find what it is, but the moment Felipe started to learn to use the tools, to make measurements, and build any shape or form in wood, he knew that was his favorite subject. In his mind, he could already visualize what was to be done, and the more he advanced in the project, the more could he develop his own “hacks” to improve safety and reliability on the structure.
This technique more than once, saved a project or a coworker in the field, anecdotes abound on this kind of job😊. When his son Daniel was born, the decision to stop working for big companies, who paid his trade handsomely, and stay local, was a hard decision in the household economy, but never a regretted one. Because by staying local, he lost 2/3 of income, but instead, was able to see his son and wife every day after work, and that was of great satisfaction. And to make ends meet, he started to work on the side, which in a coming future would become a saving grace. Little by little, and over the years, his clientele built up, many of them call him now a friend, since their relationship as worker and client has grown over the years, and he has become “the guy to go to”, when a project is needed to be done.
From decks to stairs, ramps and floors, foundations and walls, ceilings and roof. He can do it all. Any form or shape has a mathematical start, but only those who understand dimensions and can see them in their mind, can make of a flat draft, a blueprint, even a picture of a building, a full structure. That’s the real deal!
